Ashanti Kuduo Box

Kuduo ceremonial bronze vessel were cast by the lost-wax process
Kuduo box served as storage of gold dust, precious stones and sometimes food/drink/blood offerings. As well used for "washing" the owner soul  - given to the grave - for this reason is why they are extremely Rare. 
Made in Ghana, South Africa 
18th - 19th Century - possibly older
